Roadside Poppies

Bright red poppies. I spotted them growing on a roadside verge on a beautiful sunny day and couldn't resist capturing them. I was particularly drawn to the shape of all the curving stems on the poppy buds and the brightness of the red petals with the summer light shining through them.
