Private workshops at my home studio

I'm very happy to announce that from 2026 I will be resuming my popular, private lino workshops. I now have a brand new studio in the garden and can accomodate up to four students at a time. Come on your own, or book your friends in too for a discounted rate.
With notice, I can sometimes accomodate alternative dates, so do ask if you have a specific date that you would like to book.

Preston Bissett Nursery

A one day reduction lino workshop at Preston Bissett Nursery, near Buckingham, MK18 4ND.

I will show you how to create a small floral themed reduction lino print.

A reduction linocut is a multi-layered print which is created by repeated cutting and printing from the same block of lino. The tuition is suitable for beginners or improvers. All the equipment and materials will be provided, though please bring along any images of flowers that inspire you.

You will learn how to plan a design and transfer it to the lino; how to cut the lino; how to ink up the lino and how to print it by hand. You will also learn how to correctly register your prints. We will be using water based inks and soft cut lino. You will leave with a small run of prints.

We will meet at 10.15am for complimentary coffee and cake. The workshop commences at 10.30am with a lunch break at 1.00pm, before recommencing for the final session at 1.45pm to 4.30pm.

The workshop includes a light lunch and refreshments through the day.
