Woodlands and Trees

Many of my linocuts are tree or woodland themed. I enjoy walking my dog in the woods and I find them a constant source of inspiration to me. Living in Bicester I often go to Stoke Wood which is managed by the Woodland Trust. It is a beautiful place to visit. I love that there is something new to see every time I go. Every season and weather condition creates a different colour palette. Winter has its lush green mosses and bare branches, with spring come the delightful bluebell carpets and brand new leaves, summer revels in deep greens and dappled light and with Autumn comes the oranges and browns of fall.
I have also found woodland and tree inspiration at the Buckinghamshire National Trust properties Stowe Landscape Gardens and Waddesdon Manor, and also at Great Linford in Milton Keynes and further afield at Snape Maltings in Suffolk.

I have displayed these images to scale with each other. I.e, the larger they look on screen, the larger they are in real life.
